The Formation Of Monetary Authority : New Regulation On Maternity Leave

Brunei Darussalam Will Commence The New Decade of 2011 with The Formation Of Monetary Authority  @(2010-12-31 22:00:00)

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Wadaullah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, the Sultan and Yang Di Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has said Brunei Darussalam will commence the new decade of 2011 with the formation of its own monetary authority known as Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam, AMBD, or the Brunei Darussalam Monetary Authority.

Speaking to the nation over radio and television in a titah in conjunction with the new year 2011, His Majesty also announced a new regulation on maternity leave for women officers and employees in the civil service.

His Majesty pointed the year 2010 has shown results in various fields, but these successes should not make the country complacent from continually strengthening and reviewing its development policies.
